The College Board seeks high-energy professionals in the K-12 educational field who have a passion for education and a deep commitment to promoting educational equity, access, and excellence for all students. We have several opportunities for ‘Senior Educational Managers’ who will manage our accounts with secondary and middle schools and our partnerships with states throughout New England. Based out of Waltham, MA these positions will appeal to educational professionals who have experience serving schools, school districts and other educational organizations and who are interested in creating a stronger college-ready population through the resources of a mission-driven national membership organization. Position Summary Senior Educational Managers are members of our Region and Account Services team and focus on developing and implementing account management strategies that enhance customer satisfaction and ensure customer retention among our K-12 clients. Senior Educational Managers excel at developing meaningful relationships with their clients and provide superior support to their accounts through frequent on-site meetings, best-practices consulting, and delivery of information on College Board products, services and assessments. Primary Responsibilities • Provide account management services to K-12 clients in the New England Region. Understand all College Board college readiness products, services, and systems. Takes responsibility for retaining client accounts and for sustaining and increasing product and service use. • Provide K-12 product and system expertise to support the consultative sales process. • Manage delivery of workshops, seminars and conferences for teacher training. • Assist with the delivery of state agency reports. • Support regional association and membership goals including governance activities related to the Regional Council and Regional Forum. Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree is required; a graduate or professional degree is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of relevant managerial or professional experience in the K-12 field is required. Demonstrated experience serving schools, school districts or state educational agencies in an account management capacity is relevant and of interest to us. Extensive knowledge of the secondary school environment is strongly preferred. Other Requirements • A deep understanding of the K-12 educational environment and its changing needs. • Strong interest in promoting partnerships between K-12 districts and institutions of higher education. • Outstanding interpersonal and relationship management skills • Superior communications and presentation skills • Ability to work effectively both as a team member and as an independent account manager • Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the New England Region; Limited out-of- region travel may be required.
