BAE Systems is looking for an Environmental Compliance Specialist to join our Engineering Team to propose on future program support opportunities with the United States Marine Corps. The ideal candidate would demonstrate in your resume submission your experience performing ANY OR ALL of the following comprehensive compliance functions in regards to environmental services and support: - Monitor and evaluate environmental risks affecting the United States Marine Corps. - Analyze water and air pollution control, recycling, waste disposal, and public health issues. - Assist with developing guidance, programs and plans for compliance with environmental laws and regulations. - Communicate environmental compliance deficiencies with recommendations for solving deficiencies to executive team and appropriate managers. - Conduct training. - Manage remediation projects associated with acquisitions and divestitures. - Obtain permits and registrations. - Conduct oversight of operating environmental functions. - Conduct other tasks as required.
Must have the following: - Applicant should have a Bachelors Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management, Civil Engineering or some related Environmental Science. The applicant should also have at least 4 years experience in managing environmental compliance projects. - Knowledge of environmental functions, such as Environmental Management Systems (EMS); environmental regulatory compliance; management of hazardous materials/waste; air quality; water quality; energy conservation principles and practices; pollution prevention; or waste programs. ****Note-..This related experience must be in any or all of the program management services listed. - Ability to acquire a DoD security clearance. Preferences: - Active US DoD security clearance - DAWIA or PMP certifications
