Define and manage IRAD and Advanced Concepts Portfolio for Next Generation Collection activities,. Conceive and rapidly demonstrate in realistic environments innovations that provide BAE Systems an exploitable technology edge in addressing the critical cyber challenges facing our customers. 

Collaborate with LE NOSC Environment and Integrated Product Line Managers to ensure a smooth and timely migration of advanced concepts into the product and integrated solutions pipelines.
Collaborate with the Cyber Warfare and Cybersecurity PMO, Account Executives, and campaign and pursuits leads to ensure that the IRAD and Advanced Concepts Portfolio maximally supports strategic business capture activities. Develop long-range investment plans for Cyber Warfare and Cyberspace Research activities.

Collaborate with IS and ES research-oriented LOBs in assessing the state-of-the-art in next-generation collection and identifying candidate technology areas where BAE Systems investment might produce an exploitable advance Solicit, review and recommend candidate research initiatives that could be cyber warfare and cyberspace marketplace differentiators for BAE Systems. Recommend research area priorities and candidate projects to the PMO.

Formulate technical requirements, schedules, exit criteria and funding profiles for approved projects. 

Define, initiate, organize, plan, authorize work, manage, evaluate and close out research projects. Direct and monitor work results for meeting product functional and performance requirements, and achieving the target maturity level. Coordinate project reviews and directs the preparation of status and progress reports.

Implement and adhere to a formal systems/software engineering process appropriate for research and prototype development with traceability to BAE Systems' Life Cycle Management processes. Evaluate and report status in terms cost, schedule, performance, and maturity using standard metrics.

Support the PMO in developing multi-year strategic plans. Develop input to the company's financial plan for assigned projects.

Participate in briefings and demonstrations with prospective customers or clients.

Support program capture where the Research Portfolio is a potential differentiator. Participate in tech marketing and phase reviews, provide raw materials and write specific proposal sections.

Required
Masters Degree plus 10 years experience

Advanced degree in a technical or scientific field.




A broad understanding of state-of-the-art for automating or enhancing cognitive capabilities for collection, exploitation and analysis of intelligence data in the cyber domain. An indepth understanding of the end-to-end technologies (planning, control, sensing, collection, exfiltration, exploitation and analysis) necessary to enable distributed and automomic offensive and defensive computer network operations on a massive scale. 

A minimum of 8 years cross-discipline experience developing and applying innovative technology in more than one of the applicable technology domains. Peer recognition in the form of refereed journal articles or invited conference presentations.

Experience in generating and giving presentations to customers and prospective clients.

Experience in major proposal development, including both section writing and volume leadership.
