Global Tactical Systems (GTS) is a recognized leader in tactical vehicle production offering a wide range of heavy, medium and light tactical vehicle solutions to customers worldwide.

The GTS product line includes multi-purpose military tactical vehicles, such as the U.S. Army's Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV), armored fighting vehicles, mine protected vehicles (Caiman and RG31 Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP)), light armored vehicles, and police and security vehicles. Additionally, GTS offers exceptional specialized capabilities from drivelines to turret systems, and provides first-class global support for its products through aftermarket programs.
Create market business opportunities for assigned region from conception to fruition with expected revenues of up to $500M. Leads a cross functional team of resources in order to capture identified opportunities. Assist with or prepare narrative for proposal(s) to include legal language required to convey all aspects of compliance as governed by the bid country. Is responsible for developing and proposing new and innovative approaches to winning new business and growing the business. Will have significant input to the growth strategy and new product development of the GTS business.

**Job will be focused in Arlington, VA area but candidate need not be located there full time
Bachelors Degree in related field and an additional 10 years
Bid, proposal, negotiation, budget, campaign lead, strategic planning, and foreign market business development. Demonstrated negotiation skills that yield results. Ability to clearly convey information orally and in writing; working knowledge of the differences between US and foreign business environments/markets.
Military/Commercial tactical wheeled vehicle experience, international business development experience. Foreign language ability


PREFERENCES:


• Responsible for the application of and adherence to Business Development processes as required by BAE Systems' Lifecycle Management process across the LOB
• Responsible for monitoring, influencing and reporting on capture efforts of major pursuits from across the LOB
• Extend current proposed business development opportunities to include additional undeveloped opportunities
• Responsible for all Business Development governance matters inside of GTS and in dealing with BAE Systems Plc and BAE Systems Inc in governance matters, to include GTS representation on applicable functional councils and working groups.
• Responsible for developing and maintaining region specific GTS "1-to-n list" as a mechanism to prioritize business winning efforts.
• Responsible for identifying customers' emerging needs and developing towards a phase 0 review of the life cycle management process.
• Responsible for coordination of function resources assigned to capture opportunities
• Responsible for interfacing effectively with counterparts at BAE Systems Plc, BAE Systems Inc and in Lines of Business
