Performs everyday WLS system administration for database, web sites, application deployment, security, and other services. This includes static and dynamic deployment; using WebLogic server servlets; managing JDBC resources; configuring JMS; configuring non-default security provides including RDMS, PKI Security Assertion Markup Language, and SSO; configuring embedded LDAP server and new security realm; and securing WebLogic resources through SSL. Sets up server clusters and distributed applications and resources to the cluster. Administers Oracle Database 10g. Includes installing software, creating Oracle databases, managing Oracle instances, managing database storage structures, administering user security, managing schema objects, managing data and concurrency, managing undo data, implementing Oracle database security, configuring Oracle network environment, conducting proactive and performance maintenance, performing backup and recovery actions, and moving data using data pump export and import. Conducts Oracle application server 10g administration. This includes configuring and managing OracleAS infrastructure; confuring and managing OracleAS middle tier components; deploying and managing web applications; and managing and configuring Oracle identity management. Additionally identifies enhancements in Oracle Enterprise Manager Application Server Control to manage customized and distributed OPMN in OracleAS environment. Makes topology recommendations for site (Java, Portal, integration, enterprise data center, departmental, and development life cycle). Identifies benefits of using failover clusters and features of identity management replication for providing high availability. Downloads and installs Apache server. Starts, stops and restarts Apache HTTP server. Configures httpd.con including directives, containers, comments, and options. Sets up virtual hosts (IP-, name-, and port-based). Performs tuning and load testing. Works with SSIs/SSL. Manages scripts. Applies Apache security. Performs Solaris 10 OS system administration to include virtualization, clustering (3.1), predictive self-healing, security, file systems, software installation, system boot procedures, and system processes. Lead administrator for Apache load balancing.
