The selected candidate will apply technical knowledge in electronic, mechanical, and related engineering fields to support the design, integration, test, evaluation, and maintenance of communications equipment and systems.



This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St. Mary's County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.  

Relocation assistance is not available for this position.  Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas.

Must have:

High school diploma and 11 years related experience

Video teleconferencing and audio/video system design and installation experience

Computer systems experience

Site survey and field installation experience

Electronic equipment maintenance experience

Experience with the interpretation of drawings and blueprints

VTC networking via ISDN or IP protocols

Polycom and/or Tandberg Codecs and Network Equipment certification (CTS, AMX Crestron, Tandberg, Polycom)



Preferences:

Knowldedge of AutoCAD

Cable fabrication/fiber cable experience

Experience with the development of test procedures

WBS, scheduling, and cost estimating experience
