Responsible for providing guidance to company personnel and manage export activities as it relates to Department of Commerce and Department of State U.S. Export regulations. Completion of U.S. Export related documentation to enable the Company, and its subsidiaries, to obtain export licenses and other related documents. In addition may be required to support other Legal Compliance responsibilities which may include ethics, records management, FOIA, subpoenas, etc. 1. Provides guidance to company personnel on export/import activities. 2. If required, act as an Empowered Official. Authorized to sign license applications or other requests for approval on behalf of the Company. 3. Processes export license applications and technical assistant agreements. 4. Investigates any aspect of a proposed export or temporary export by the Company to verify the legality of any transactions and the accuracy of the information to be submitted. 5. Support other Legal Compliance, responsibilities which may include ethics, records management, FOIA, subpoenas, etc. 6. Provides BAE SYSTEMS North America and/or government agencies with any required assistance or information needed during the review of license applications. 7. Maintains export related record keeping functions in the Company as required by law. 8. Conducts or assists in conducting internal compliance audits on a periodic basis. 9. Performs other tasks as assigned by the Director of Legal Compliance
Required 14+ Years with HS or 10+ Years with AA or 8+ Years with BS or 6+ Years with MS or 3+ Years with PhD Eight or more years experience in export or related field. Training in U.S. Export laws and regulations, ITAR, Commerce regulations preferred. (In addition to the items listed above, the Essential Functions are: 1.
