SUMMARY OF THE JOB:
Responsible for providing all automation incorporating robots and PLC controls as necessary to manufacture and weld fabricated components. Specify, recommend, build and set up equipment to develop robotic automated processes required to meet operational expectations.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. From drawings, develop automation processes to produce fabricated welded components in manufacturing.
2. Must be capable of specifying all equipment necessary to set up a manufacturing cell.
3. Must have extensive experience with welding robots and other robotic systems.
4. Must be able to layout a cell incorporating the robotic process.
5. Must be able to program and operate the robotic cell and train accordingly.
6. Produce tooling concepts and follow through total design and procurement with suppliers.
7. Will provide technical assistance and guidance to other robotic operators.
8. Possess creativity, out of the box thinking when developing and automating a manufacturing cell.
9. Ensure compliance with federal and state laws.
10. Perform all duties in a safe manner.
11. Perform other duties in a timely manner as assigned.
Basic Skill and Ability Requirements:
1. Diverse experience in robots and controls.
2. Ability to work independently with minimal or no supervision.
3. Must be a self-starter that works well with others.
4. Ability to read blue prints and drawings.
5. Possesses excellent communication and problem solving skills.
6. Dependable and reliable.
7. Some experience using AutoCAD.
8. Highly motivated and results driven.
9. Experience with lean manufacturing and kaizen techniques.
10. Must have strong work ethic, sense of urgency and a high energy level.
11. Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines.
12. Must be able to work days, evenings, and weekends to meet business needs.
13. Ability to work with a diversified work force.

Minimum Education and Experience Required:
Associates degree in manufacturing/computer sciences, technical trade school or equivalent work experience is required, with minimum 5 years robotic integration and operation experience.
