Primary Duties: 



Participates in studies concerned with the design, production, integration, operation, maintenance and test of moderately complex systems, equipment and components related to space and military applications/equipment to include Satellite Communications. Analyzes and provides inputs to review boards. Prepares and present original concepts related to the above.



Participates studies and analyses of moderately complex technical documentation to determine conformance with performance, operational, maintenance and training documentation and specifications. Provides coordinated impact reports of issues relative to the above family of documentation. Provides recommendations on resolution of such issues.



Prepares or analyzes moderately complex test plans and procedures to assure that technical and operational requirements are properly demonstrated. Participates in test conduct and related data gathering and analysis. Assembles test packages, and conducts total package review to assure test package integrity. Prepares recommendations and corrective action requirements reports.



Participates in development and production system trials, observes system operation and describes problems encountered. Prepares recommendations for acceptance, failure and retest. Participates on test evaluation review boards. Provides recommendations on process improvement and potential resource savings.



Participates in the review of engineering change proposals, trouble and failure reports, and corrective action reports. Provides recommendations for action. Assists engineering change review boards/configuration management boards.



Provides independent recommendations for task expansion, increased efficiency, and performance improvement. Prepares related cost impact assessments. Maintains high profile customer contact for improving liaison and good technical and programmatic relationships.



Assists or takes a responsible position in proposal preparation. Assists in strategy development.



Prepares and gives presentations to management and customers.



If/when required, travels CONUS/OCONUS to assist/instruct with system installation.



Additional Requirements 





Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems plus 7 years directly related experience. (Experience may be substituted for education).

Active TS/SCI security clearance.

Must be in compliant with DOD 8570.1-M (Minimum Security+ Certification).

Must have Experience with Army SATCOM communications, computer networks, and computer network security. CCNA is a plus. 

Experience with space and missile defense systems.
