This position is for a Configuration Management (CM) on large multi-system, multi-baseline, Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) hardware and software integration effort for the Maritime C4I effort. The position requires the evaluation, development and implementation of a complete configuration management strategy and solution to meet customer specifications. This includes configuration identification, release, configuration status accounting and internal and formal audits, configuration control, a complete automated change management solution, hardware CM, inventory of configuration products and establishment and administration of a configuration control authority with the appropriate Control Boards (ERB, SERB, CCB, etc.)
The position requires extensive knowledge in all areas of Configuration Management, particularly in Hardware intensive Systems. The position also requires extensive experience interfacing and working directly with U.S. Navy customer organizations. Configuration Management experience in Navy programs is highly desired.
The position will require development and implementation of a complete Configuration Management solution including the evaluation, selection and implementation of appropriate tools, to include configuration and development, and release strategy for multiple baselines, multi-site systems.
NOTE: Partial RELOCATION may be offered, depending on circumstances (approval required by V.P. of Engineering).
This position is located at Liberty Station (off Rosecrans Boulevard, near San Diego International Airport).
Must Have:
- Extensive knowledge of all aspects of complete life cycle configuration management and ability to establish and administer a configuration control authority with the appropriate change boards (SERB, ERB, CCB, etc.).
- Experience managing and controlling requirements and configuration baselines.
- Experience full Configuration Management, primarily COTS Hardware and Software CM.
- Excellent customer interface skills.
- Experience with a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool, preferably Enovia (HCM) and Synergy (SCM).
- Bachelors Degree in technical area, may consider years of experience in lieu of Degree.
- Current Security Clearance (at least a Secret Clearance and eligible for Top Secret / SCI Clearance)
Preferred Experience:
- Extensive knowledge of evaluation, installation, customization, troubleshooting and administration of complex configuration/change management tools.
- Experience in maintaining project deployment of hardware including tracking updates.
- Customer knowledge of the Navy’s Configuration Management processes.
- Experience with DOORS requirements management tool.
