I. BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB: Performs unmanned aircraft flight activity to support customer requirements such as testing equipment, towing targets and photography sessions. Must have a Pilot's License. II. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Duties and responsibilities which occupy a major portion of time and importance in the job. Incumbent(s) perform one or more of the following duties.) 1. Pilots airplane to support customer or company requirements. 2. Assist in the development of policies and procedures. 3. Reviews ship's papers to ascertain such factors as load weight, fuel supply, weather conditions, flight route, and schedule. 4. Assist senior pilots on special projects. 5. Orders changes in fuel supply, load, route, or schedule to insure safety of flight. 6. Reads gauges to verify oil, hydraulic fluid, fuel quantities, and cabin pressure are at prescribed levels prior to starting of engines. 7. Sets brakes, and accelerates engines to verify operational readiness of components, such as superchargers, carburetor heaters, and controls. 8. Contacts control tower by radio to obtain takeoff clearance and instructions. 9. Releases brakes and moves throttles, hand and foot controls to take off and control airplane in flight. 10. Pilots airplane to destination adhering to flight plan and regulations and procedures of Federal Government, company and airport. 11. May transport passengers, mail, or freight necessary for the company objectives. 12. Logs information, such as time in flight, altitude flown, and fuel consumed. 13. Performs other related duties as assigned. III. SUPERVISION: A. Responsibilities for Work of Others Supervises no employees. B. Supervision Received Receives limited supervision. Results are reviewed upon completion. IV. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: A. Within Company Outside immediate department. B. Outside of Company Frequent outside contact. V. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: A. Physical Tasks Exerts normal physical energy. B. Working Conditions Normal office environment. May work extended hours or weekends. May work second or third shift. VI. Minimum Qualifications is any of the following: Education: Bachelors Degree Associates Degree High School Diploma or GED 7 year(s) related experience 9 year(s) related experience 11 year(s) related experience NOTE: When a degree is required, one in the subject closest to the field of work is preferred. AND Licenses, Certifications, Special Requirements: Must have FAA pilot's license (certificate) and Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) operations experience.
