A Database Administrator and Software Engineer with JAVA EE expertise is needed to support laboratory requirements. The candidate will work in team environments and have to clearly describe results in oral presentations or written reports. Tasks will utilize skills and experience using Oracle 10g installation, maintenance and optimization. Will implement multi-threaded solutions for deployment into either servlet or application containers. Will do Web development including the use of JavaScript, AJAX, and JSP. 

Will also utilize SQL skills and some PLSQL. Experience with Services Oriented Architectures from SOAP to REST will be utilized. Will select and evaluate COTS/GOTS tools for integration into existing software. Will use Eclipse, Jakarta Ant, Log4j, CVS, MANTIS and Jetty.

Required
Task requires experience with Oracle, Java EE applications that will interface with Oracle multi-dimensional database. Must possess strong SQL skills. Must have extensive experience with Java EE. Experience with implementing multi-threaded solutions for deployment into either servlet or application containers also is required along with Web Services and different Services Oriented Architectures from SOAP to REST. Experience selecting and evaluating COTS/GOTS tools for integration into existing software is also required. Experience wiht Eclipse, Jakarta Ant, Log4j, CVS, MANTIS, Jetty and Web development to include the use of JavaScript, AJAX, JSP also is required.
