The Recruiting Coordinator is responsible for supporting the corporate Talent Acquisition team to ensure that top talent is consistently identified, recruited and placed within the organization. This person will also support the Vice President of Talent with administrative tasks as requested. 

 

The ideal candidate must be a highly organized self-starter, good listener, and solution-oriented problem-solver with the ability to handle a variety of tasks independently and efficiently.  Additionally, this individual must be energetic, empathetic, and desire a challenging work environment.  The recruiting coordinator’s job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

 

  • Post all open jobs on the Harrah’s Entertainment career site and any other various Internet sites as requested
  • Assist in scheduling candidate interviews; travel arrangements, and providing information to candidates regarding benefits and relocation
  • Update and maintain weekly recruiting reports in Excel for Talent team
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with employees at all levels within the organization, providing both employees and managers accurate feedback on proper hiring/interviewing procedures and processes
  • Administer any testing and facilitate drug testing and/or other pre-employment processes, including all new hire paperwork, and scheduling new hire orientation
  • Assist with coordination of all special events (NBMBA, MBA Poker, etc.)
  • Assist with offer letters, expense reports, A/P transmittals, check requests, and ordering supplies when needed
  • Bachelor’s Degree is strongly preferred
  • At least 3 years of administrative experience is required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
  • Knowledge of an HR information system, employment laws, HODES IQ and previous external recruitment experience (e.g., job fairs, college and community relations and placement) or related field a plus
  • Experience planning events and/or reporting to multiple people is strongly preferred
  • A true self-starter with the ability and confidence to make decisions in the absence of superiors; ability to complete repetitive tasks, learn new skills and tasks quickly, and network with recruiting sources
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment under deadline pressure, attention to detail, self-directed, thorough follow-up on all tasks
  • Must be able to interact in a diverse work environment and have an understanding of diverse team dynamics, as well as be able to build relationships effectively and adjust to the needs of the department
  • Must posses excellent telephone etiquette, in addition to decision-making, organizational, customer service, and communication skills; must be able to initiate and engage in conversation in a professional and friendly manner, take initiative, and work on special projects
  • Must present a professional and pleasant appearance
