Sr. Supply Chain Manager
Position Overview
Responsible for managing all supply chain functions, which may include, but are not limited to: sales and operations planning, global procurement, outsourcing, supplier development, inventory management, master scheduling, business rationalization, distribution and logistics compliance. Responsible for setting strategic direction for the supply chain organization in a complex and multi-disciplinary organization. Plans, provides resources, and influences the organization to reach continually improving levels of supply chain management. Will lead sales and operations planning, scheduling, acquisition, supplier development, warehousing, and logistics. Will continue developing a highly effective supply chain organization, assist in the standardization of material planning, scheduling and inventory management throughout the facility to improve customer service and reduce lead-time. Works to improve material flow within the manufacturing facility and manage suppliers, materials, and inventory consistent with the requirements of a Lean/Six-Sigma manufacturing environment. Facilitates the early supplier involvement in Lean Product Development for enhanced time to market execution.
Primary Responsibilities
*Spearheads the development of global commodity strategies to maximize cost savings while ensuring continuity of high quality supply (zero customer interruptions as a goal).
*Develops and directs the Seating Supplier Development Roadmap leading to enhanced supplier ownership of performance improvement, scorecard improvement, customer and Goodrich compliance enhancement, and more CI activities to reduce cost and improve quality.
*Lead Si&OP process and management review and signoff process.
*Leads Materials Planning, Scheduling and Acquisition Processes as well as Inventory Management including warehouse integrity, shipping, and receiving.
*Directs the business rationalization and low cost country sourcing initiatives to maximize product and business margins, while ensuring continuity of high quality supply in support of LCC manufacturing strategies.
*Ensure high inventory accuracy through cycle count and physical inventory programs while striving to maximize business inventory turns to meet financial objectives.
*Develop a highly effective supply chain organization; improve customer service with respect to product delivery and forecasting while keeping acquisition cost, transportation cost, and inventory at a minimum.
*In coordination with the supply chain strategy, standardize material planning, scheduling, purchased part delivery, and inventory management throughout the facility to improve customer service and reduce lead-time.
*Improve material flow within the manufacturing facility. Assure accurate WIP inventory and work order reconciliation to manufacturing plan. Drive to SWIP levels within the operation and raw material in support of takt time and in-process requirements.
*Coordinates projects and improvement activities with suppliers for Continuous Improvement initiatives and outsourcing to low cost regions as appropriate.
*Develop and implement supplier managed inventories and other supply chain programs including both finished good and raw materials hub strategy to support enhanced customer responsiveness of the manufacturing operations.
*Manage suppliers, materials, transportation, and inventory consistent with the requirements of a Lean/Six-Sigma manufacturing environment.
*Participate in Goodrich strategic sourcing initiatives for direct and indirect materials and services.
*Interpret, execute, and establish operating policies and processes.
*Create policy deployment objectives and initiatives for policy deployment.
*Ensure that departmental and support personnel are focused on continuous improvement and support lean culture of products and processes.
*Promote alignment by understanding and communicating customer needs and requirements throughout the organization.
*Develop and grow appropriate team members to higher leadership capabilities to sustain the organizational effectiveness of the integrated Supply Chain.
*Utilize Policy Deployment Progress Reviews (PDPR's) to ensure conformance to organization's goals and initiatives.
*Accountable for final decisions affecting group, company or corporate-wide activities.
*Complies with all safety and environmental regulations, and works to create and promote a safe working environment.
*Adheres to all Goodrich rules and codes of conduct and quality procedures.
*Perform other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Required:
*Bachelor's degree with at least eight years' relevant experience.
*Three or more years' experience in a manufacturing environment.

Desirable:
*Working knowledge of SAP.
Working Conditions - Physical requirements and environment
*Works in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, often requiring frequent movement.
*Must be able to access, input, retrieve and send information via computer and telephone.
*Some travel required.
