This position is responsible for leading the portfolio marketing team. This position will drive the definition and marketing of Commercial Americas Security Technologies portfolio (security, safety, services, and efficiency) working closely with the vertical marketing and product category leaders and is a key leadership position within the Marketing organization. The role requires a high degree of proficiency in driving solution strategy and development as well as the marketing of product portfolio. Equally important is the ability to collaborate closely with the product category leaders to influence key product decisions and roadmap requirements in line with solutions strategy and ensure the overall business success of the Commercial Americas business.

Major Accountabilities:

  • Lead team to define the solution strategy and blueprint working closely with vertical marketing and product category leaders
  • Influence product roadmap and requirements in line with solution strategy
  • Own the positioning, messaging, naming, and strategic pricing of the Commercial Americas Security Technologies portfolio
  • Lead team to create & deliver core content for respective solution and products
  • Work with Marketing Services to drive the development of compelling collateral, and sales and channel tools
  • Work closely with Training to drive the development and delivery of compelling sales and channel training
  • Serve as the internal and external evangelist for the product portfolio
  • Serve as thought leader in key industry associations and external events
  • Manage a team of 6-7 marketing professionals

Education Standard: BS/BA, MBA Preferred

Requirements:
  • Expertise in both inbound (translating customer needs into solution ideation and definition) and outbound marketing (launching and marketing of products and solutions)
  • Domain experience in 2 or more of the following areas is required: Credentials, Access Control Systems, Building Automation Systems, Energy Efficiency, Green Building, Security and Safety Solutions
  • Experience selling or marketing to multiple stakeholders from C-level to IT or Facilities Managers
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to influence sales, marketing, and product management teams
  • Ability to think creatively
  • Experience managing teams of 5+ marketing managers
  • 7-10 years of product marketing or solution marketing experience
  • MBA preferred. Bachelor’s degree required
