Technology Development Manager II - Advanced Integration Technologies

In this key role you will lead technology development programs working with DOD research agencies such as DARPA, ONR, AFRL, and ARL to integrate leading edge chip technologies into system and subsystems architectures.   You will also support the transition of these new technologies to BAE Systems Lines of Business for future products in Electronic Warfare, Communications, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), precision targeting and sensor systems. 

Responsibilities include;

- Capture of new CRAD programs, with support from Business Development

- Staying abreast of and directing the development of leading edge chip technology

- Generation of IRAD plans and roadmaps for technology development

- Efficiently execute development programs to insure cost, schedule and technical performance exceed the customer's expectations.

- Work closely with BAE Systems lines of business to understand the company’s future technology needs and capture and shape CRAD programs to achieve those needs.

- Actively seek funding from inside or outside the company to help achieve adequate technology maturity level (typically TRL 6) to help reduce risk for transition into products.

- Generation of proposals, whitepapers and briefings

 

- BS Engineering or Science (MS or PhD preferred) 12+ years experience including the development and integration of advanced chip integration technologies into complex systems.

- Knowledge and /or experience with chip, wafer and module level integration technologies, 3D integration concepts, bonding techniques, mechanical packaging, thermal management, effects of RF and electrical prosperities within high density integrated modules, an understanding of MEMs processing, understanding of photo lithographic thin film deposition processes, wafer via technology , device technology for silicon/compound semiconductors and bolometer sensors and thermally transparent enclosures, fabrication processes for Focal Plane Arrays

- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) and the ability to work with all levels of the organization.

- Selected candidates will be subject to a US Department of Defense security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to secret, top secret and SAP/SAR programs.
