BAE Systems is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated, and well organized individual to serve as a Technical Writer for a DoD / IC agency customer. Duties of this position include: - drafting, editing, and producing technology standard operating procedures - publishing tactics, techniques, and procedures with regard to implementing technology solutions against unique maritime intelligence problem sets - craft and publish quick-look manuals - maintain relationships with government and industry technical writers to capture and implement best practices for effective and efficient conversion of technologically detailed language into lay terminology - support the strategic communications strategy by drafting and publishing maritime intelligence focused technology innovation news letters, monthly trade magazine articles and periodic, focused e-mail updates - provide expert advice on new technology interfaces which can enhance the customer's ability to communicate and inform audiences about innovation related accomplishments and ongoing efforts - work with developers to understand system/application functionality and collect data to comprehensively outline the technology - participate in conceiving, developing, and implementing training for analysts on how to use innovation systems and applications
Required - Experience with desktop publishing tools - Skill in transferring ideas and concepts via Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint 2+ Years with BA/BS in Communications or English - Demonstrated experience in thinking and writing succinctly and with clarity of purpose
