Senior Manager, Contracts
Lead a team of Contract Managers whose purpose is to Source Products, Services and Intellectual Property Assets and leverage T-Mobile's purchasing power (spend and/or volume) across assigned and found commodity groups. Works closely with the Director of Indirect Procurement to develop and deploy sourcing strategies in association with Cross Functional Sourcing Teams. Utilizes detailed research and analysis of current spending patterns to identify areas to develop sourcing opportunities and for potential risk mitigation. Directs strategic sourcing initiatives and identifies otherwise "lost" opportunities by establishing high-level relationships across the Enterprise. Conducts research on potential suppliers. Responsible for overseeing and facilitating RFP's / RFI's / RFQ's, and negotiating national contracts.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Leads a team of four to eight Contract Managers and Senior Contract Managers. Leads strategic sourcing effort for select commodities within indirect spend as well as cross function/cross departmental initiatives. Leverages T-Mobile total cost (price, quality, service) and drives initiatives throughout Enterprise. Oversees negotiation of national contract agreements that support T-Mobile and ensures compliance to contract terms by interfacing with T-Mobile internal Business Owners and external suppliers Identifies, reviews, and analyzes spending data from T-Mobile ERP and Business Intelligence systems for potential cost savings opportunities. Partners with Legal Department in the creation, development, and execution of contracts to support strategic partnerships. Partners with T-Mobile Department Cross Functional Sourcing Teams to identify areas for potential strategic sourcing efforts.
Works with Department colleagues to best serve internal department requirements. Seeks out and establishes strong working relationships with internal Department leaders. Provides recommendations to internal Business Owners on supplier selection that will support Departmental and Company initiatives. Coaches, trains and educates internal business partners on the importance of supplier management and holding suppliers accountable to contractual commitments. Coaches, trains and mentors team of Contract Managers to support Internal Customer, Company and Departmental goals and initiatives. Experience/Education/Training Minimum of three years experience in a position with Direct Reports. Minimum of eight years procurement experience in Purchasing, Strategic Sourcing and Contracts. Proficiency in MS Office programs. Strong background in driving projects interdepartmentally. Solid procurement, negotiating, project management, critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills required. C.P.M. certification preferred. Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from four year college/university or equivalent work experience required
