Littoral Combat Ship Communication Systems Logistics Manager

The selected candidate will lead the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) communication systems logistics department providing oversight, guidance, and direction for all acquisition, receiving, warehousing, and shipping on LCS program. General responsibities for this position include personnel management, liaison with major and minor system suppliers, coordinating acquisition requirements with engineering department, ensuring materiel is stocked and issued to operations department, tracking materiel costs, preparing budget plans, and providing the LCS program manager with data to support revenue planning.

This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St. Mary's County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station. 

Relocation assistance is not available for this position.  Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas.

Requirements:
1. Documented leadership of logistics organization.
2. Experience maintaining and properly documenting inventories in accordance with U.S. Government regulations.
3. Capability to interface with vendors' business development and sales staffs to obtain system and component data to support acquisition and change planning.
4. Proven experience in developing detailed acquisition packages in order to support the development of requests for quote.
5. Experience in developing basis of estimates in response to customer's requests for quote.
6. Prior experience developing reliability block diagrams.
7. SME-level knowledge of reliability and maintainability analysis including mean time between failure, mean time to repair, and mean logistic delay time to improve communications system operational availability.
8. Ability to obtain a security clearance
9. Bachelor's degree and at least seven years related experience
Preferences:
1. Military logistics experience as U.S. Navy or other military service supply officer (O3 or above) or a government civilian logistics professional.
2. International Society of Logistics certified professional logistician.
3. Prior experience in fixed price and earned value management environment.
