Will perform a shipfiiting duties onboard Navy vessels to include, tacking,fitting,using a cutting torch, some layout of structural items, may work some aluminium. Will work on bulk heads, foundations, deck plating, under water hulls and all items associated with Ship board work. May perform pre-abrication work inside shop.

- At least 3 years experience working in a ship yard. Must be able to read Blue Prints and perform layouts. Must be able to pass a written exam and a weld tack test. Must be able to acquire a rapid gate pass. Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces and have the ability to climb staircases. Must have some related shipfitting tools. Must be able to work a variety of shift 1st shift 6:00am to 2:30pm 2nd shift 2:30pm to 10:30pm and 3rd is 10:00pm to 6:00am
