Dimension & Scope: This is a 2nd or 3rd shift position in either Lake Mary, FL or Cincinnati, OH. Employee will spend 2-3 weeks on 1st shift for training. Candidate has previous experience working in a fast paced global enterprise Network Operations Center (NOC) and Data Center environment Ability to multi-task Ability to learn new functions in a short period of time Possess flexibility in handling assigned tasks, problems, outages and escalation events Excellent communication skills; written and verbal Ability to work any shift schedule, day and/or hours Must be a Team Player! Skill sets required: Background in voice and data network environments, tier 1/2 Experience working with carriers (AT&T, Sprint, etc,) on outages and maintenance activities Prior experience in a NOC/Data Center environment Prior experience using monitoring tools such as CA Spectrum/Unicenter, HP OVO Operational experience with Mainframe, Power Systems and Open Systems server environments Knowledge of IVR systems, tier 1/2 Under general supervision ensure the availability and integrity of the Convergys Corporate Data Network enabling end users to access data resources needed to perform job functions. Perform data network resources administration and maintenance along with data network equipment installation. Receiveanalyzemonitor and resolve network problems in accordance with published Service Level Agreements. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in maintaining Convergys Corporate LAN/WAN infrastructures.Configure, install, maintain, troubleshoot, and support LAN/WAN equipment to include, but not limited to, routers, switches, hubs, CSU/DSUs, firewalls, modems, controllers, and cabling ensuring appropriate change control process are followed.Assist in documenting hardware installations of routers, switches, hubs, firewalls, etc.Document LAN/WAN environment and ensure updates are made to appropriate network management systems.Assist in monitoring LAN/WAN performance, recommending upgrades as necessary, to insure LAN/WAN integrity and performance.Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of all LAN/WAN hardware and software.Coordinate network hardware/software implementation with Business Units and clients to ensure limited impact to production network through appropriate change control procedures.Install and provide hands-on support of customer owned equipment.Provide hardware support duties of a Technician as required.
Education & Professional Certifications: Associates Degree in related technical discipline And Two years relevant experienceOr Bachelors Degree in related technical disciplineOr Bachelors Degree in non-technical discipline AndTwo years relevant experienceOr Four-years relevant experience without college degree.
