The psychologist in this position will provide clinical services, supervision of trainees, research, and program development for the hospital’s Pediatric Eating Disorders Program. As a member of the Eating Disorders Program team, the psychologist will evaluate and provide intervention services to patients who receive their care in this service at CMC. Patients are offered a full spectrum of care from inpatient hospitalization and partial hospitalization to day treatment, an intensive outpatient program, and outpatient treatment. The psychologist plays an integral role as a team member, providing evaluation, testing, individual and group therapy, and working with a multidisciplinary team of child psychiatrists, family therapists, nurses, school teachers, and milieu therapists. An important responsibility of the position will be collaboration with the team to design a program of clinical research. Supervision of psychologists in training at the pre-doctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship levels is also a part of the position. The psychologist chosen for the position will be considered for a faculty appointment in the Department of Psychiatry at UT Southwestern.
